jackson, thanks for the link. they all look so greasy? i like that model he married. she's a real plain jane. could ben lee's face be any longer? he's the jay leno of indie rock. sorry i had to split last night. how's business?
man, i'm glad you got "come on feel". that's the album that got me hooked. i remember going to the store in the fall of 1993 and trying to decide between that album or gin blossoms. i had been kinda curious since i loved the evan dando song on my victoria williams "sweet relief" benefit album. (i only bought that album because it had pearl jam singing crazy mary on it.) i had $15 credit to spend at one of those cheesy music stores at the mall. man oh man, am i ever glad i got that album. i was instantly OFF of pearl jam and alice in chains grunge and STUCK on the lemonheads. i could sing all the songs and play all the chords. i was in heaven! plus i liked the music. i'm not a serious guy like eddie vedder. i'm a shallow fluff like evan dando. what took me so long? then i got "it's a shame about ray". awesome! then the summer of 1994 when i was a lifeguard i got an acoustic bootleg album from cd world. one guy, his guitar, and his songs. their was no turning back. i had rock-n-roll fever! that was the magic summer of the foxymorons and tripping deweys. it was a blast. jerry james, jason clark, craig hinkle, and myself locked away in the church's college class room learning chords, songs, and how to be a band. we had no idea how to do anything. our gear was pathetic but we were on a mission to become rockers!
