the acoustic show was a bunch of fun. we all sat in chairs and it was really relaxed. scott was playing all this weird stuff and i was loving it. i was just listening to him the entire time. we had a nice crowd so thanks to those of you that came to see us. my parents made a surprise appearance and dad dewese snapped some digital that i hope to post soon. it was a freestyle night so we didn't have any matching uniforms on or anything. scott had some sweet puma's on so maybe that's why he was playing so well. i wore a sports coat and larry brought a cold. all of the rock songs from the summer translated well into the acoustic format. the last song was a new one called fallen star. i mentioned how i'd just seen the movie shallow hal and realized that's what fallen star might be about. pretty deep stuff huh? here's the setlist: sunshine, 15 again, it's you, restless, over bored, dreaming, waiting for the sun, just to dream, fallen star. anyways, i got a few specific remarks about the last song so i guess we'll keep on playing it. one guy even asked for my lyric cheat sheet and the chords. the fastball guy played some fastball songs so that was cool to hear. his new stuff seemed to bounce back and forth from cheesy radio country and fastball-ish pop songs. so i guess he's writing his own music but also writing some songs to pitch to country radio. i tried that once, but it was terrible.
