thanks for sharing the scott link larry. i had no idea he already had such a strong web presence. our show last friday went pretty good. it was really relaxed and fun in my opinion. lots of luxury joking and goofing off. since we were playing at a bookstore, the audience was able to read magazines and books while we jammed so i'm sure they enjoyed that. we took a break halfway through so we could mix and mingle with everyone. it was a really nice evening. highlights included the stevie nicks ticket giveaway, back to the future spoof, and two new songs. yes, we played a couple new songs called sunshine and dreaming. (sorry for the one word titles. we're not trying to be creed or anything, they just sounded best.) i know i had a good time playing the new ones and i don't think anyone even noticed me reading the lyrics. the borders management gave us a couple tickets to the stevie nicks show this weekend to raffle off. we decided to have a "guess the luxury lyric" contest. brad miles from jackson swing won the contest. "bleeding ears at the end of time" was the lyric. he yelled out "shake it up" before anyone else could. no one guessed the first lyric "though pidgeon fed he could brave this water" from "the duke of gloucester." i also did a tribute to "back to the future" and sang that old song earth angel. i dedicated it to shannon hinkle because she loves back to the future. big thanks goes out to everyone that came and we hope to see you again soon!
